Support the Freelance Musicians Association

The Freelance Musicians Association exists to ensure that freelance and independent musicians have a strong voice within our profession and the broader labor movement.

Through organizing, education, advocacy, networking, and leadership development, we are building a stronger future for musicians who work outside of traditional collective bargaining agreements. From developing new organizing initiatives and educational resources to supporting local campaigns and creating opportunities for musicians to connect and lead, our work is driven by members who believe that independent musicians deserve fair pay, respect, and a seat at the table.

To keep the FMA accessible to as many musicians as possible, we have intentionally kept our membership dues very low. While this helps remove financial barriers to participation, it also means that dues alone cannot sustain the scope of the work we hope to accomplish. Your contribution allows us to expand our programs, develop new resources, support organizing efforts, advocate for policies that benefit working musicians, and strengthen our ability to serve freelance musicians across the United States and Canada.

Every donation—large or small—is an investment in a stronger, more united community of freelance musicians. Thank you for helping us build an organization that empowers independent artists and ensures their voices are heard.
