Campaign Statement: I am honored and excited to accept a nomination to the Executive Board of the Freelance Musicians Association.
I believe my passion for organizing, deep knowledge of the music industry, and longstanding relationships within the AFM can be successfully utilized to benefit freelance musicians in our collective struggle to win respect, dignity and security in our workplaces.
I currently work as Co-Administrative Director for AFM Local 1000, The North American Traveling Musicians Union, where I’ve been employed for over thirteen years. In this role I have managed all aspects of the Local’s operations, including administering Collective Bargaining Agreements.
My academic background includes a BFA in Jazz and Contemporary Music and a MA in International Affairs, both from the New School.
I have also spent the past two decades as a professional, freelance bassist, and I am a dual member of AFM Locals 1000 and 802.
