Campaign Statement: I am seeking election for the office of Vice President of the Freelance Musicians Association.
You may know me as a former staff organizer for the AFM. I worked to organize independent musicians across our Federation, and was involved in getting the FMA off the ground. I hope to continue this work as a member so we can keep building the FMA into a strong, member-driven coalition.
I am an independent musician and a proud member of Local 802. I intend to represent musicians like myself who share the experience of working at many small, independent venues alongside teaching and part-time work.
I am passionate about organizing musicians to tackle the enormous challenges we face today. I care deeply about worker justice and its many intersections, including racial justice, gender justice, and immigration rights. As Vice President, I would prioritize creative, power-building organizing to ensure that our voices as independent musicians are properly represented, protected, and advocated for, both within the AFM ecosystem and more broadly.
